salza 1898

Salza was founded in Turin in 1898 by grandfather Silvio. His son Federico took over the running of the company in the 1920s, and it was he who initially transferred the business to Lucca and Viareggio and then finally to Pisa, in 1927.
It was to this city that the Salza family brought with it the good manners and charm of Piedmont that eventually lead to pastry-making becoming a distinctive element of such absolute prestige. This was a quality that drew the attention of the household of the Savoys during their lengthy stays in San Rossore. So much so in fact that in 1931 the Salza company was in a position to proudly call itself a "regular supplier to the Royal Household." Under Silvio's leadership the family business expanded its traditional and established area of business to eventually become a market leader in Italy's catering sector.
Maintaining this unmistakable class and style, the brand of Pisan pastry-making was successfully present at every kind of function. Nowadays these areas of the business are conducted with undiminished passion and expertise by Federico, one of Silvio Salza's three sons, and the grandchildren Virginia and Federica, who run the catering and banqueting sides both in Italy and abroad.
The services on offer have become diversified and specialised over time and the company plans and organises events, weddings and all different kinds celebrations, both in Italy and abroad. It offers a comprehensive service which includes suggesting locations and set ups, customising menus, selecting the best wines and providing professional Open bar services.
